Shannan

Shannan is a native of Vestaburg, Michigan, where she grew up surrounded by 40 acres of fields and woods, and first learned to garden. After law school, she worked as a union-side labor lawyer in Detroit, Washington, D.C., and New York City. When she lived in Manhattan and couldn't easily garden, she joined her first CSA. For the past few years has worked for the Michigan Legislature as a legislative analyst mainly covering bills relating to energy, agriculture, hunting and fishing, and the environment. She is proud of her two teenage children, loves music of all kinds, and is looking forward to a new chapter in her life involving sustainable agriculture.
